By creating an account, registering an animal, purchasing a tag or subscription, or otherwise using Conduit (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be 18 or older, or have a parent/guardian manage the account on your behalf.
Conduit is an animal identity and management platform: digital identity, QR/NFC tags, lost-and-found facilitation, health records, reminders, behaviour guidance, and optional GPS tracking.
Conduit is not a veterinary service. The AI Symptom Checker and all Health Intelligence content are informational only and do not replace a licensed veterinarian.
Conduit is not a guarantee of recovery. We facilitate the return of lost animals — we cannot guarantee any animal will be found or that anyone will act on a QR scan, lost report, or emergency cascade.
Conduit is not an insurer, lender, or regulator. We facilitate records that third parties (banks, insurers, ZNSPCA, DLVFS, etc.) may choose to rely on — we do not control their decisions.
You're responsible for your login credentials and all activity under your account. Keep your information accurate and current.
When registering an animal, you confirm you are its legal owner. This attestation is recorded with a timestamp, your IP address, and device information.
A false attestation may be relied on as evidence in ownership disputes, shared with the previous registered owner, ZNSPCA, law enforcement, or a court, and may be reported as fraud. Duplicate microchip registration attempts are logged and flagged.
Conduit does not adjudicate ownership disputes between users.
You agree not to: register an animal you don't own; submit false lost/found/sighting reports; access accounts, animals, or portals you're not authorised for; scrape or extract data beyond your account; misuse AI features; or upload unlawful or infringing content.
Core identity features (registration, one digital QR code, public profile, Lost Animal Board) are free. Premium features require a paid subscription billed via supported payment methods (which may include EcoCash and Paynow).
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where Conduit materially fails to deliver the subscribed service, or as required by Zimbabwean consumer law. Refund requests: support@conduitid.net within 14 days.
A physical tag carries no owner information until activated and linked to your animal's profile. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees.
Tags and collars carry a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects — not normal wear, chewing, loss, or water damage beyond the stated rating. GPS devices depend on third-party cellular and satellite networks; Conduit does not guarantee continuous connectivity or location accuracy.
Unused, unactivated hardware may be returned within 7 days for a refund less shipping. Activated or used hardware is non-returnable except under warranty.
The AI Symptom Checker and related features send the information you provide to a third-party AI provider for processing. Output is provided "as is," may be incomplete or incorrect, and must not replace professional veterinary advice.
Your animal's public profile (via QR/NFC scan) shows its name, species, breed, and photo by default. If marked "lost," it additionally shows the emergency contacts you've configured.
If you add a third party's contact details (family member, friend, or vet) to the emergency cascade, you confirm you have their permission to share and display that information — including publicly while the animal is lost. Conduit does not verify third-party consent and is not liable for your failure to obtain it.
You may invite others to view (read-only) an animal's profile. You remain responsible for that animal's records and attestation.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." To the maximum extent permitted by Zimbabwean law, Conduit disclaims all implied warranties.
Conduit does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service; that lost animals will be recovered or that anyone will act on a scan or report; the accuracy of user-submitted data including ownership claims and health records; the accuracy of AI-generated guidance; or continuous GPS accuracy.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Conduit, Bigsam Tech, and Conduit Tech are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of an animal, loss of profits, or emotional distress — even if advised of the possibility.
Where liability can't be excluded, Conduit's total liability to you is capped at the greater of (a) what you paid Conduit in the preceding 12 months, or (b) USD 50.
Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by Conduit's negligence, fraud, or anything that can't lawfully be excluded under Zimbabwean law.
You agree to indemnify Conduit, Bigsam Tech, and Conduit Tech against claims arising from your breach of these Terms, a false ownership attestation, sharing a third party's details without consent, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Conduit's platform, software, and branding belong to Bigsam Tech/Conduit Tech. You retain ownership of content you upload but grant Conduit a licence to display it as part of the Service, including on public profile pages.
You may delete your account at any time. Conduit may suspend accounts that violate these Terms, including for fraudulent attestations or repeated false reports. Records may be retained after closure as described in the Privacy Policy.
Material changes will be notified at least 14 days in advance via email or in-app notice.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation; failing resolution within 30 days, the courts of Zimbabwe have exclusive jurisdiction.
